Saxon Weald’s Financial Support Fund

The financial support fund is available to help support any Saxon Weald and Weald Living customer experiencing a financial crisis. This could be due to unemployment, relationship breakdown or divorce, a sudden medical emergency, a bereavement or a situation where someone experiences a change to their financial security.


When assessing a request for financial support we will consider the customer’s:

  • Financial circumstances
  • Household make up, e.g. dependent children
  • Vulnerabilities
  • Disabilities
  • Health conditions


We need to ensure we support customers who are most in need and may require evidence of the customer’s circumstances before we can help. Customers may be asked to provide:

  • Proof of benefits
  • Bank statements
  • Proof of medical conditions
  • Proof of utility bills


What does the fund cover?

The fund generally helps cover essential items which could include (but is not limited to):

  • Food shopping vouchers
  • Utility charge ‘top-ups’
  • White goods and furniture
  • Removals and packing costs
  • Equipment or services to support basic living needs
  • Support to access employment/training
  • Contributions towards school clothing


The fund will only cover costs where there is no other source of funding available or where it would be impractical to use alternative funding (i.e. due to timescales or significant vulnerability).
