Extending your lease

Extending your lease

You have the statutory right to extend your lease once you have owned a property for two years. The right is to add 90 years to what is left on the existing lease. This is a complicated process and we are entitled to the payment of any fees and expenses we incur, as well as a payment for the lease extension which is worked out using a formula set out in law.
