Sub-letting

 

Some leaseholders have the right to sub-let their flat. This depends on the type of property you live in and the kind of lease you have. 

 

Shared ownership leases prohibit sub-letting, in some exceptional circumstances we may agree for shared owners to sub-let their home for a short period of time.

Please note

If you have permission and decide to sub-let, you will need to tell us your new contact details, who the incoming tenant is and when the tenancy changes. Please remember, you are responsible for the tenant and their behaviour, and also remain responsible for paying any service charges associated with the property. There is a small administration charge for registering sub-letting.
