The Met Office has issued a red warning for extreme heat on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 June across our region. This means a risk of population-wide health effects so we should all take precautions to stay safe in the heat. This includes drinking plenty of water and closing curtains in rooms which face the sun.
It may mean we need to cancel some work, particular heavy external jobs, but we'll contact any customers who might be affected individually.
Meanwhile, please keep an eye out for any vulnerable neighbours. If you are worried about your health or that of someone you know, please call NHS 111.
